Privacy Notice
Last updated: January 2026
This Privacy Notice explains what information SnapDash collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies whenever you use the SnapDash application, whether as a Requester or a Snapper. We have written it to be read in full, and we encourage you to do so; using SnapDash means this Notice applies to you.
Information We Collect
When you create an account, we collect your name, your verified mobile phone number, and, if you provide it, your email address, profile photo, bio, and a general profile location. In the course of operating the marketplace we also collect the photographs you submit to fulfill jobs, the content of messages exchanged between Requesters and Snappers, and precise device location data. Location is central to how SnapDash works: it is used to show jobs and Snappers near you, to alert nearby Snappers when a job is posted, and to confirm that a Snapper is physically present at a job site before photographs can be submitted.
Payment Information
Payment card details are collected and stored directly by Stripe, our payment processor, and never pass through or reside on SnapDash's servers. We do not see or store your full card number. Snapper payout accounts are likewise created and managed through Stripe, which handles identity verification and the movement of funds.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above to operate, maintain, and improve the marketplace: matching jobs with nearby Snappers, verifying on-site delivery, processing payments and payouts, sending notifications about job activity in line with the preferences you set, keeping the platform safe, and responding when you contact support. Where Snapper locations are shown to other users while browsing, they are approximate rather than exact, and are limited to Snappers who have recently been active.
Live Location During an Active Job
When a Snapper accepts a job, SnapDash shares that Snapper's real-time location with the Requester for that job — updated periodically while the job is in progress — so the Requester can see the Snapper travelling to and arriving at the location, and so we can verify the photos are taken on site. This live sharing is limited to the two people on the job and stops when the job is completed, canceled, or expires. SnapDash collects this location only while the app is open and in use; it does not track your location in the background. If you turn off location access, you will not be able to accept or deliver jobs, but you can stop sharing at any time by leaving the job or disabling location in your device settings.
How We Share Information
We share personal information only as needed to run SnapDash: with Stripe to process payments and payouts, with our hosting and database infrastructure to store your data, and with the services that deliver email, text messages, and push notifications on our behalf. Requesters and Snappers matched on a job see the profile information relevant to working together, such as first name, rating, and job history. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share raw location history with advertisers or data brokers.
Security
We protect your information with industry-standard measures, including hashed passwords, signed session tokens, and phone number verification at sign-up. If you enable it, SnapDash also supports Face ID and device biometrics as an additional lock on the app itself. No system can be guaranteed absolutely secure, so we encourage you to protect access to your device and to contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorized activity on your account.
Your Choices and Rights
You can view and update your profile information, including your name, photo, bio, and location, from the Edit Profile screen at any time. Push, email, and job-alert notifications can each be turned on or off independently in Settings. Location permissions are controlled through your device settings, though disabling them will limit features that depend on proximity. You may request a copy of your data or deletion of your account and its associated information by contacting us through the app, and we will honor such requests as required by applicable law.
Data Retention
We keep account information and job history for as long as your account remains active, and for a limited period afterward where retention is required for legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes. Photographs delivered for a job are retained so that the Requester can continue to access what they paid for, and are stored on private infrastructure served through expiring, access-controlled links rather than public URLs. You may request deletion of photographs you submitted by contacting support; copies may be retained for a limited period where needed to resolve a dispute or meet a legal obligation.
Changes to This Notice
We may update this Notice from time to time as our services evolve. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by other reasonable means before the changes take effect, and your continued use of SnapDash after that point means the revised Notice applies.
